rec.photo.equipment.35mm participant profile

Peter Boorman

Location: UK.

Photography: Landscapes and plants & gardens. Also some studio still-life
and some architecture. Most things apart from people, really - though I do
do some band photography.

Years of photography experience: I became interested as a child, did some
professionally in the 'eighties and then did other things. I came back to
working at it from 1999. I also do some teaching of photography, and tutor
with the Creative Arts Retreat Movement.

There is a short 'bio.' at http://www.bard-hill.co.uk/Bio.html

Years on r.p.e.35mm: since about 2002, posting, and submitting to the
Shoot-In less often than I'd like to, as "Bandicoot"

Small photo collection online at http://www.bard-hill.co.uk

Equipment:

bodies: In 35mm I use mostly Pentax.

lenses: Just about anything - I am particularly drawn to moderate
wide-angles and short telephotos, though I find I use a 300mm quite often
for landscapes.

Film preferences:

B&W: Ilford HP5, Kodak Tri-X, Kodak T400CN, Kodak T-Max 3200.

Colour: Fuji Velvia 100F, Kodak E100VS, and a few other slide films for
landscapes and cities. Kodak Portra 160NC for gardens, and Portra 400UC for
grab shots and low light.
